Six young entrepreneurs from LEINN (the Entrepreneurial Leadership and Innovation degree from TeamLabs and the University of Mondragon) are among the winners and finalists of the Sustainability World Cup. For seven weeks, this international competition brings together ten teams of students, entrepreneurs and managers from 17 countries in order to raise awareness of sustainability as well as aiming to share strategies that promote businesses with the minimun environmental impact.
The awards ceremony took place within the Digital Enterprise Show (DES), the largest European event in Exponential Technologies held in Malaga from June 11 to 13.
The winning team in the “Lowest Carbon Footprint” category was the “Bamboo Brands” team formed by Juan Carlos Recio, from the 4th year of LEINN Madrid, and Juana Esquitino and Andrés Rodríguez Quirós, both LEINNers from the first year in Malaga.
In addition, the “Fontaine” team consisted of Lucía Márquez (1st LEINN Málaga), María Delgado (2nd LEINN Madrid) and Arnau Palau (2nd LEINN Barcelona) were among the first 5 finalist teams in the main category “Sustainability World Champions”. Arnau was also finalist himself in the “Best Sustainability Leader” category.
